A Hidden Ability is an additional Ability available to some Pokémon species beyond their normal Ability options. It is not automatically present on every Pokémon and is usually obtained through special encounters, raids, events, transfers, breeding rules, or other game-specific systems. Hidden Abilities are not always stronger; they simply offer a different strategy. Before trying to obtain one, check whether the specific game supports it and whether the Pokémon can pass it through breeding in that game. Also verify the Ability’s actual effect, because a regular Ability can be better for a particular moveset or battle format.
