Genderless Pokémon do not have male or female gender markers. Many can breed only with Ditto, while some are in the Undiscovered Egg Group and cannot breed at all. Their lack of gender can also affect moves or Abilities that target male or female Pokémon. Genderless status does not make a Pokémon weaker or stronger in ordinary battle by itself. When planning breeding, check the species’ Egg Group and the current game’s breeding rules rather than relying only on gender. Legendary and mythical Pokémon are often genderless or unavailable for breeding, but there are many exceptions across the franchise.
