A balance team combines offense, defense, utility, and speed control so it can adapt to many matchups. It usually includes sturdy switch-ins, one or more strong attackers, hazard or field support, and ways to prevent fast opponents from sweeping. Balance does not mean every Pokémon has equal stats; it means the team has a coherent mix of roles. It is often easier for new competitive players to understand than extreme offense or full stall because it offers multiple options. To build balance, identify shared weaknesses and make sure each major threat has at least one practical answer.
