Shared weaknesses are not automatically fatal, but a team needs reliable answers to the attacks that exploit them. Start by listing each member’s types, abilities, and defensive role. Then add resistances, immunities, faster revenge killers, weather or terrain support, and safe pivots where appropriate. Avoid solving every weakness with one Pokémon, because it can be worn down or trapped. Sometimes two teammates share a weakness but pressure the same counter so strongly that the trade-off is worthwhile. Team building is about practical matchups, not only counting type weaknesses. Test the team against common threats in the chosen format and adjust.
